Cold Lasers
Low Level Lasers are referred to as “cold” lasers, because they do not have the thermal components to cut, burn or vaporize tissue.
Low Level laser Therapy (LLLT) is based on the scientific principle of photobiotherapy.
Photo-biotherapy occurs when laser light is absorbed by cells, and causes stimulation of cell metabolism and improved blood flow.
Low Level Laser light was first used to treat lower extremity ulcers in diabetics with poor blood supply. The lasers improved blood flow and at the same time, an astonishing side effect was noticed; body hair located within the radius of the laser beam grew thicker and longer than the surrounding hair.
In clinical studies, laser light is proven to stimulate cellular metabolism, protein synthesis, tissue and cartilage regeneration, while dramatically increasing blood supply to the targeted area. Read more
